Method of building
The key frame and key bed are made of aluminium, which makes the pianos resistant to changes in temperature and humidity.
High-quality felts:
All felts used in our action and keyboard are from the Wurzen Felt Factory in Germany, Hainsworth in England or of Japanese production, ensuring good tone or regulation
Wood:
Selected woods are stored in state-of-the-art dry rooms before manufacturing
The result: climate-stable soundboards and action components
Keyboard:
The keys consist of 17 laminated layers with an additional hardwood segment - highly resistant to climatic fluctuations. The keyboards of the grands are traditionally made out of massive spruce from Austria (Fa. Tonwood)
The result: Climate-stable and robust keyboards.
The action:
The actions are built of high-quality components and precisely assembled. After production, tests are conducted on each individual action, simulating long term use of our upright and grand pianos by means of a “playing-in machine”.
The advantage: Long-life actions with precise repetition touch!
Case:
The models are elegantly finished, and equipped with felt in all the important places to avoid vibrations. The springs under the pedal poles are likewise wrapped in absorbent material.
Mute system:
For the piano technician, the moderator is sensational easy to manipulate and reliable in its function!
Bars system:
Perfectly milled parts using CNC-machines ensure the highest precision throughout the Wendl & Lung range and guarantee stability durable tuning.
Sound-board:
Specifically climate-resistant construction with excellent dimensional stability and outstanding sound.
Bass String Production:
Optimized in cooperation with piano master builder Peter Veletzky our bass strings guarantee outstanding tone and longevity!
